Movie Review: New Moon

So I have never done a movie review before but I thought it would be good to start off with New Moon! I went and saw the movie on opening night at 12:01, the funny thing is I got there at 9:45 and the theatre was already packed (I got amazing seats though)!

  • Title: New Moon
  • Director: Chris Weitz
  • Age Restrictions: PG-13
  • Time: 130 min
  • Company: Summit
  • Genre: Fantasy/YA
  • Directing: A+
  • Special Effects: A+
  • Acting: A

AMAZING!!!! This was exactly what I pictured the movie would look like! Hats off the Chris and the rest of the crew who made this happen. I feel this was so much better than Twilight, so if you did not like Twilight check this one out because it really blew me away. Even the acting was better in this movie, especially with Jacob. Also I liked the fact that humor was added to this movie it really helped with the characters. The special effects were spectacular, the wolves looked exactly how I pictured them when I read the books. Also the scenes with Bella hearing Edward was amazingly done!

Also I feel like this movie did a better job relating to the book, so that is why I enjoyed it more. I am so excited for eclipse to come out (June 30 2010) I am more anxious than ever to go and see that now! So yes, go see this movie! I promise you will not be disappointed. I know I am going to go see it again =)

So What Did You Think Of New Moon?

Happy Viewing!

  3. Agree completely! I laughed a lot in Twilight because it was so bad, even though it was still fun to see the book "come to life." I definitely chuckled a few times in New Moon, especially because Robert Pattison still looks a lot like a heroine addict much of the time, and the clown makeup makes them all look so chalky instead of luminous, but New Moon was much better than Twilight, and the special effects were really good this time. I thought the wolves were spot on, and Taylor Lautner did a brilliant job of transforming himself for the part. I'll definitely see it again.
